Dr. Paola Rosas Recipient of Vahlteich Research Award

Dr. Paola Rosas is the recipient of the Vahlteich Research Award for her project titled “The Impact of Short-chain Fatty Acids on Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Implications”.
The Vahlteich Research Awards are funded by the Hans and Ella McCollum Vahlteich Endowment Fund. Hans earned his Graduate in Pharmacy (PhG) and Pharmaceutical Chemist (PhC) degrees from the College in 1917 and 1918, and Ella earned her PhD from Columbia University. To date, the award has provided over 1.5 million dollars for research.
These Awards support innovative research by early career faculty members.
